What is Hola Taxi?
An app for ordering licensed taxis from your phone. We are not a ride-hailing (VTC) service: we work only with professional taxi drivers and their official fares.
Where does it work?
We are starting in Valencia and its metropolitan area, including Manises airport. We will open more Spanish cities step by step; download the app to hear when we reach yours.
How much does it cost?
Downloading and using the app is free. Your ride costs whatever the meter shows at the city's official rates; the app shows you an estimate before you order.
How do I pay?
Straight to the driver at the end of the trip, by cash or card.
Can I get a taxi to the airport in the middle of the night?
Yes. Taxis run 24 hours a day, every day of the year, including when the metro and buses don't.
How do I order a taxi?
Download Hola Taxi, allow location access and type where you are going. You see a fare estimate; confirm, and the nearest licensed taxi accepts your ride. You follow it on the map until it arrives.
Are all the drivers licensed?
Yes, all of them. We only work with official taxis: a municipal licence, a taximeter and insurance. We check every driver's documents before activating them.
What safety features does the app have?
Every ride is recorded and tracked live. You can share your trip with anyone you like, and there is an SOS button during the ride.
Can I book a taxi in advance?
Yes. You can schedule the taxi for your flight, your train or an appointment, and we tell you when a driver is assigned.
I don't speak Spanish. Is that a problem?
No. The app comes in several languages and the chat instantly translates messages between you and the driver.
Taxi drivers
Do I have to work exclusively with you?
No. Keep your radio dispatch, your rank and your regular customers.
How do I get paid for rides?
Directly by the passenger at the end of the ride, in cash or by card on your reader. Hola Taxi does not charge the passenger for you.
What documents do I need?
A valid taxi licence, the municipal taxi driver's permit, and the vehicle's roadworthiness test and insurance up to date.
Which cities can I work in?
We are starting in Valencia and its metropolitan area. If you work elsewhere, write to us: we will tell you when we open there.
What if the passenger doesn't speak Spanish?
The in-app chat translates messages both ways: they write in their language and you read it in yours.
Can I choose when I work?
Yes. You go online and offline whenever you like: no shifts, no minimums.
