Is there Uber in Valencia? Taxis, ride-hailing and apps in 2026
Which apps work in Valencia, how a taxi differs from a ride-hailing car (VTC), and which suits which trip.

Short answer
Yes: Uber and Cabify both operate in Valencia using private-hire cars (known in Spain as VTC), alongside more than two thousand licensed taxis. They are two different services with different rules, and it helps to know which one you are ordering.

When a taxi is the better choice
- At busy times (Fallas, concerts, weekend nights, rain): the meter has no surge pricing.
- From the airport, the high-speed station or the port: taxis have their own rank at the door.
- In the centre: the bus-taxi lane saves minutes at rush hour.
