How much is a taxi in Valencia? Official 2026 fares

Valencia taxi fares in 2026
Valencia taxis run on the meter at official rates, identical for every licensed taxi in the joint service area (Valencia and the towns of its metropolitan area). Fares were updated in 2026 after several years without change.

15–18 March (the Fallas festival) and 24 and 31 December count as public holidays for fare purposes.
Supplements: airport, port and trade fair
- Valencia Airport (Manises): a €5.40 supplement on trips that start at the airport, with a €12.50 minimum fare.
- Port and Feria Valencia: €2.95 on trips that start at the port or the exhibition centre.
- There is no luggage supplement.
Example trips
At those rates, and without traffic jams, this is roughly what the meter will show:
- Valencia Airport to the city centre (10 km): €21–25.
- Airport to the City of Arts and Sciences (14 km): €26–32.
- Cruise terminal to the old town (6 km): €13–16.
- Joaquín Sorolla station to Malvarrosa beach (7 km): €11–15.
These are estimates: the final price is always what the meter says, and depends on traffic and time of day.
Trips outside Valencia
Leaving the metropolitan area (Gandía, Cullera, Xàtiva, Castellón, Benidorm…) switches to the interurban tariff: €1.46 per kilometre at ordinary times and €1.68 at special times. You can check distances and drive times on our routes page.
How to pay
Valencia taxis take cash and the vast majority take cards. If you pay cash, drivers must carry change for a €20 note (or €50 if the fare is over €20). With Hola Taxi you see a price estimate before you order.
